100 Milli Streams For A Start! – Kanye West’s ‘Ye’ Album Remains No. 1 On World Music Charts

According Kanye West, his new ‘Ye’ album went from Kanye, which means the only one, to being ye, and it is a reflection of who we are.

It has been win-win for the Chicago rapper, since his eight studio album was released on Friday June 1. Ye has dominated Spotify and Apple Music charts, sitting number one in nearly 100 countries, racking up over 100 million streams. As of Tuesday (June 5), six of the seven songs on Ye sit in the top 10 of Spotify’s United States Top 50 chart, with “All Mine,” “Ghost Town” and “Yikes” holding the top three spots, while “No Mistakes” is the only Ye song not in the top 10, but it currently sits at No. 11.

Ye is a seven-track and it clocks in at just over 23 minutes — Kanye’s shortest yet. The album became the No. 1 album in 83 countries on Apple Music and also the No. 1 album on iTunes in 63 different countries.  “Ye” is on track to earn Kanye West his eighth No. 1 on the Billboard 200 chart according to industry forecasters, and it may launch with over 175,000 equivalent album units earned in the week ending June 7.The 40-year-old rapper last topped the chart in 2016 with his previous release, The Life of Pablo. Fresh off the Ye album success, Kanye West and Kid Cudi have unveiled the art for their joint album “Kids See Ghost” set to release on June 8, and the album will feature only seven songs just like Ye and Pusha-T’s “Daytona”.
