Rapper, Amethyst Amelia Kelly, popularly known as Iggy Azalea has vowed to take legal action after topless pictures taken for a magazine photoshoot were leaked online.
Azalea, best known for her hit songs Fancy and Black Widow, said she feels “violated” by the leak and promised to press charges. Iggy has always been proud to control what she puts out on social media, which often includes nude content.
Last June, Iggy explained her ‘creative’ decision to publish professional pictures of herself wearing nothing but ankle socks and heels on Instagram. Ranting across Twitter, she wrote: ‘Say what you want about me posting pictures on Instagram but honestly, it gives me something else creative I can focus on – when sometimes I’m in a dark place or I feel stagnant. ‘Most days I want my project to drop, yesterday! but I don’t get to make those choices.’ She added: ‘I’m really glad I’ve got something I can do without needing permission because if it were up to me I’d be releasing songs at the same rate I post pictures.(sic)’ .
