A recent road accident that occurred on Saturday, June 30, along the Kano-Kaduna expressway has left 10 people dead, and a dozen more injured.

A road accident claiming the lives of 10 individuals and leaving others seriously injured, recently took place at the Kano-Kaduna expressway at a spot close to the Nuhu Bamalli Polytechnic, Zaria, at about 5:30 a.m on Saturday, June 30.
Speaking on the incident, the head of public enlightenment, Zaria Unit Command of the Federal Road Safety Commission; Idris Yahaya, mentioned that the sad event was “pathetic”. The accident involved a car, a luxuries bus, and an articulated vehicle. According to his report on the incident, 48 persons were in the different vehicles. Nine got burnt instantly, while a lady gave up the ghost at the hospital. 31 other passengers were rushed to the hospital to receive immediate treatment at the Ahmadu Bello University Teaching Hospital, Zaria.
