Peruzzi, D’banj And 8 Other Nigerian Celebrities That Have Been Accused Of Rape Or Sexual Assault

As Nigerians protest against rape, observing Black Tuesday and all, many victims found their voices and taken to social media to call out their violators. Surprisingly and not surprisingly, many of them are celebrities who took part in the course against rape on social media are part of the accused. Some of them are:
1. Peruzzi: was said to have raped his girlfriend’s friend 8 years ago when they both slept over at his place. (Read here).
2. D’banj: after he put up a post on IG, saying NO means NO, his supposed victim Seyitan and her friend could not imagine him coming out against rapist after allegedly being one and so they called him out, recounting how it happened. The hotel where the incidence happened, however, had come out to deny the allegations (especially against the hotel), saying there was no rape case and the hotel didn’t give out a spare key to Seyitan’s room. The management added that Seyitan’s name is not on its hotel’s lodger’s list.
3. Zoro: the Igbo rapper’s case came out 2 day ago amidst other several cases. The supposed victim @mystic_sweetness took to IG to note that the rapper had called her into his room while she visited back in 2015 with a reason of wanting to discuss something private with her. Gullibly, she went in, and as she reported, Zoro forced his way into her. The rapper’s manager, however, reached out to her, confirming that the incidence happened, but was not as bad as she claimed it is as she and the rapper met after then. 4. Uti Nwachukwu: while many are struggling not to believe the allegation against Uti, a tweet he sent out about about the same time the accused aid the incidence happened (August 2017) has left doubts in the minds of people. Read his story here.

7. Victor Okpala:
Filmmaker Victor Okpala has also been called out for sexual assault and harassment. Up and coming actresses, Jemima Osunde, Timini Egbuson and a recent accusation from Kemi Lala Akindoju point out that Victor usually assaults upcoming actress and may times has his way with them in exchange for movie roles.
8. Lancelot Imaseun: the veteran filmmaker was called out by actress Sylvia Oluchi on a popular industry group chat known as Filmic. She accusing him of soft-pedalling the issue of sexual assault in the industry, adding that he had also groped her during a film shoot in 2008.
9. Oluwadolarz: Oluwadolarz was also called out for raping but he denied the allegation, saying he has never raped anyone.
